ComMAX™
ComMAX product line includes full Mobile WiMAX baseband processors designed to provide mobile device manufacturers with comprehensive, low power, multimode Cellular/Mobile WiMAX (802.16e) solutions. Complemented by a handset reference design, ComMAX chips include an advanced implementation of the full PHY/MAC layer, enabling data oriented mobile internet applications.
The product line has been specifically designed with a flexible architecture to support current and future Mobile WiMAX profiles including second wave certification. With software/hardware partitioning that has been optimized to meet the specific power and die-size requirements of mobile terminals, the architecture incorporates a software-configurable modem core that addresses Mobile WiMAX, 3GPP LTE as well as future 4G standards requirements.
ComMAX CM1100 is a full Mobile WiMAX (IEEE802.16e) baseband processor designed for an easy integration into mobile Internet devices. The processor is offered to wireless device manufacturers, enabling cellular/WiMAX convergence while providing significant size and power savings.
ComMAX CM1125 is a full Mobile WiMAX/Cellular baseband processor integrating GSM/EDGE cellular with Mobile WiMAX (IEEE802.16e).
ComMAX Multimode Handset Reference Design Platforms are based on ComMAX CM1100 or CM1125 baseband processors and are targeted at OEM/ODMs. The platforms are delivered in a comprehensive package with tools enabling handset manufacturers to accelerate TTM and mass production.
