Overview
ComMAX CM1100 is a full Mobile WiMAX (IEEE802.16e) baseband processor designed for easy integration into mobile Internet devices. The processor is offered to wireless device manufacturers, enabling cellular/WiMAX convergence while providing significant size and power savings.
The CM1100 is fully compliant with WiMAX Forum™ second certification wave profile requirements. It provides the complete Mobile WiMAX communication features essential for mobile Internet devices such as feature phones, smartphones, PDAs and other wireless connected consumer electronic devices.
The processor integrates the full Mobile WiMAX PHY and MAC layers and has been designed to operate efficiently with cellular baseband chips in multimode, providing handset manufacturers with an easy path towards converged cellular/WiMAX devices.
The CM1100 is complemented by a reference design platform with a suite of debugging tools and an extensive documentation set, streamlining handset customization and accelerating time-to-market.
